RICHARD MOORE
I am an award-winning photographer and journalist with more than 40 years experience covering news and editorial events in five countries.
Now New York-based, most of my career has been in the Pacific region – my homeland Australia, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Fiji and the Solomon Islands.
During two years in the United Kingdom I worked on the BBC World Service as a subeditor and several photojournalism projects including the Fall of the Berlin Wall and The Troubles in Belfast.
I have worked in newspaper production as a senior production editor, online as an editorial manager, and as a freelance photojournalist.
In recent years I have concentrated on travel writing and photography with more than 60 articles and associated images published in various newspapers and magazines.
In 1995 I created my first content-driven website and currently own two other online publications
– TikiTouring.com and The Napoleonic Guide.
In 2020 I published my first novel called The Vein Openers. It follows a young British officer in the Napoleonic Wars.
